Oh Alice, what a great surprise,
A sight for my sore feline eyes!
But things ‘round here have changed, you see,
We have a new delicacy!
Caterpillar does naught but eat,
No longer leaves, but so much meat!
He smokes his strange new medicine,
One wonders what will crawl from him?
The March Hare, sadly, is no more,
Forever late, forever poor!
But as you’ve heard, the old refrain,
A rabbit’s meat makes one insane!
The Hatter howls in mad revel,
To flutes and pipes of darkest hell!
He dines and wines his long dead friend,
Don’t you get caught, lest you attend!
And Tweedledum and Tweedledee,
Were eaten by a wing-ed fiend!
Great King Crow has stripped their bones,
And barks and quarks his insane tones!
The monarch of the land, known well,
Fought back but ultimately fell!
The Queen of Hearts, despite her name,
Alas, had only one to claim!
I have, myself, not gone unscathed,
I’ve had my woes, ranted and raved!
I cannot offer you egress,
For I now, too, have tasted flesh!
A sight for my sore feline eyes!
